Hannah is the founder and editor of The Conscious World, and a researcher currently focused on economic anthropology, public policy, and social change (see: The Meaningful Work Project.)
She is trained as an applied social anthropologist (M.A.), a continental philosopher (B.A.), a comparative religion scholar (B.A.), and a journalist (HS, English minor) with experience in research, teaching, tutoring, writing, non-profit, office, sales, service industry (retail, restaurant), graduate, and editorial assistant roles, as well as secondary scholarship/teaching interests in history, bioanthropology, restorative justice, critical theory, cognitive philosophy, psychology, cyborg anthropology, and identity studies on gender, class, race, sexuality, disability, and heritage.

Writing projects in the works include manuscripts for visual anthropology and public performance, an editorial overview of the benefits of applying Buddhist and Anthropological ethics to public policy and social practice, a fantasy/sci-fi influenced dystopian novel series, and a more informal funny/self-help centered book, How to Fail at Buddhism.
​
These are written around remote jobs that pay the most basic of bills, but not the soul. An Idealist to the end, clearly.
Annthony Duffey is a social worker currently working with children and adolescents at a private mental health practice in the west side of Georgia. He has a bachelor degree in philosophy and hopes to undertake further study of law and gender. Annthony has additionally collaborated on publications on Professional and Continuing Education as well as contributed to a clinical workbook for child survivors of abuse.

Erin Concepcion is a corporate employee at UPS, a part time associate at Kroger, and an on-again, off-again volunteer, mentor, and alumni member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta with a bachelor's degree in organizational management and leadership. She is originally from the Washington, DC area, but has lived in the Atlanta area for over 17 years—with short breaks taken to visit family in the Philippines. Hobbies include photography, traveling the world, and exploring the unknown.

Her current feature contribution to The Conscious World is titled: “Being a Big Sister, Mentoring a Little Sister: The Rewards of Volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta.”
Lauren Blackwelder is an upcoming biology alumni (B.A., expected Fall 2019) as well as an endometriosis awareness advocate, lab research assistant, and restaurant server. Her research interests include micro-biology. Goals and research interests to be updated.

A.H.S. is a researcher focused on economic anthropology, public policy, and social change. With a background in anthropology, philosophy, creative writing, and a wide interest in punk-spirited media, her work rests on the premise that empathy and knowledge are the keys to effective social action and activism. An idealist to the end, clearly.

Brandy graduated from Emory University with a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology and a love for time spent in the lab, focused on the Rube Goldberg-like molecular machinery that makes us work. She is passionate about science outreach and taking technology from the research lab to the clinics where it best helps people. Brandy helped found Science for Georgia with the hope of encouraging communication between scientists and policy makers--with the belief that policy built on unbiased evidence is the foundation for effective changes made in the public interest.

Louis Kiphen is a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His past experience includes systems engineering in both the private sector and in civil service with the U.S. Air Force. He is currently a Software Design Engineer at SAP, engaged in service innovation and data science projects. He helped found Science for Georgia to improve awareness of the historic improvements in quality of life driven by evidence-based policy, to highlight where policy makers have fallen short, and to create discussions on how to implement better evidence-based policy.

Amy Sharma is a biomedical engineer, with a PhD in radiation physics. Amy has had a passion for science education and outreach her entire career, from building summer STEM camps at Duke to organizing outreach for WIE Atlanta and ACSF Perth. She has been an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow, a deputy chief scientist and big data branch head at Georgia Tech Research Institute, and a product manager at several Atlanta start-ups.

A.X. Johnson has been in Atlanta long enough to remember when the Journal and the Constitution were separate papers.The Olympic torch went by his apartment complex when he was a kid and he was the last person to enter the Georgia Archives before it was demolished. He has fond memories of Murder Kroger and the Masquerade and his hobbies include arguing about whether or not a given building is actually "downtown". He started taking photographs in high school with a disposable camera and he still takes photos of things every now and again.
